Description
The Kato V5 HD09 is the smallest machine in Kato’s V5 mini excavator lineup, a zero-tail-swing unit built for tight spaces. It produces 9.9 HP, carries a 2,400 lb operating weight, and reaches a 5’2″ (1.57 m) digging depth. A 4-pump hydraulic system delivers fast, responsive multi-function work without sacrificing speed or control.
The V5 generation adds a 10% increase in digging force over previous models, giving the HD09 a 2,340 lb bucket breakout force. It moves at travel speeds of 1.1 / 1.9 mph, swings at 8.0 rpm, and climbs grades up to 30 degrees. Ground pressure sits at 4.4 psi, and a 0.77 ft³ bucket on a 12″ width handles trench and utility work in confined corridors.
Built-in error prevention comes standard through an auto-parking brake that engages when travel levers are released and a neutral engine-start that requires controls in neutral before firing. This is new equipment with straightforward, simple controls and easy service access, backed by Kato CES U.S.-stocked parts for fast turnaround when maintenance is needed
